Beverage Service
Throughout the journey, a selection of hot and cold drinks is available, including juices, soft drinks, coffee, and tea. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, along with a curated list of other beverages.

For flights between Taipei and Perth, the weight-concept baggage policy applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers have 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers have 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Taipei to Perth once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members.

The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing. It does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers, so we recommend planning any high-bandwidth activities for when you are on the ground.

On all Taipei to Perth sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of 32 inches, with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing a comfortable amount of personal space for the journey. Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access from every seat, allowing you to rest more fully.

Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities, from themed gardens and quiet rest areas to children’s play zones and art installations, ideal for layovers of a few hours. You can also enjoy showers, airport hotels, and varied dining options across the terminals.

For longer layovers of around 5.5 hours or more, you may be able to join an official transit tour that takes you into the city for a brief introduction to Singapore’s highlights before returning to the airport. Always check eligibility, timing, and entry requirements before leaving the transit area.

Shorter connections are easily spent airside, where you can relax, refresh, and explore at a comfortable pace. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

Taipei operates on Taiwan Standard Time (UTC+8) all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Perth uses Australian Western Standard Time (UTC+8) and also does not observe daylight saving time. This means there is typically no time difference between Taipei and Perth during the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Perth) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Perth is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
