For flights between Dhaka and Jakarta, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite and Value fares, 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, customers in Economy Class and Premium Economy Class may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Customers in Business Class and First Class may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Dhaka to Jakarta once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Dhaka to Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 787-10, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat.

On the Singapore to Jakarta sector operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, Economy Class also offers around 32 inches of pitch and up to 19 inches of width, Premium Economy Class provides about 38 inches of pitch and up to 20 inches of width, Business Class features fully flat beds with direct aisle access, and First Class offers a spacious fully flat bed.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy a range of amenities including themed gardens, rest areas, play zones, and a wide selection of dining and shopping options. For longer transits, the official Free Singapore Tour allows you to explore the city if your layover is at least about 5.5 to 6 hours, subject to eligibility and timing. Shorter layovers are well spent relaxing in the terminals with comfortable seating, showers in selected areas, and quiet zones for rest. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

In Dhaka, eligible Singapore Airlines customers departing from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (DAC) may be invited to relax in partner lounges such as the Balaka Executive Lounge or Sky Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. Lounge access is determined by your departing flight entitlement.

Dhaka follows Bangladesh Standard Time (BST), which is UTC+6 and does not usually observe daylight saving time. Jakarta follows Western Indonesia Time (WIB), which is UTC+7, also without daylight saving time. Jakarta is typically 1 hour behind Dhaka throughout the year.

You should ensure that your passport is valid for the required period and that you hold any necessary visas or entry permissions for Indonesia, as well as for your transit in Singapore if applicable. As requirements can change, we recommend checking with the relevant embassies or authorities before you travel.

We recommend arriving at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. This allows enough time for check-in, immigration, security checks, and making your way to the boarding gate in a relaxed manner.

From Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, you can reach Jakarta city centre using options such as airport trains, scheduled bus services, hotel shuttles, or licensed taxis and car services. Journey times vary with traffic conditions, so it is advisable to check local information when you arrive and choose the option that suits your schedule.

While not mandatory for boarding, we strongly recommend arranging travel insurance for your journey between Dhaka and Jakarta.
