For flights between Colombo and Jakarta, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers have an allowance of 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers have 35kg, Business Class passengers have 40kg, and First Class passengers have 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and First Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Singapore to Jakarta sector, operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, Economy Class has around 32 inches of pitch and up to 19 inches of width, Premium Economy Class offers about 38 inches of pitch with up to 20 inches of width, Business Class provides a fully flat bed with all seats having direct aisle access, and First Class features a spacious fully flat bed with enhanced privacy and comfort.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of transit experiences, including themed gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly attractions, which are ideal for shorter layovers. With a longer connection, you may join one of the official transit programmes that take you into the city, typically requiring at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. You can also enjoy airport hotels, swimming pools, and numerous dining and shopping options without leaving the terminal. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

When departing from Colombo, eligible Singapore Airlines passengers may be invited to use partner lounges such as the AASL Lotus Lounge or Araliya Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers may have access to facilities including The Private Room, the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), the SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, according to their class of travel and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance tier.

For most Singapore Airlines itineraries from Colombo to Jakarta booked on a single ticket, we check your baggage through from Colombo to Jakarta via Singapore. You usually do not need to collect your checked baggage at Singapore Changi Airport during the layover. Please confirm the through-check details when you check in at Colombo.

Colombo operates on Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Jakarta uses Western Indonesia Time, which is UTC+7:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Jakarta is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Colombo throughout the year.

When you arrive in Jakarta, you will proceed through immigration, baggage claim, and customs in clearly signposted areas. After exiting, you will find official taxi counters, ride services, and other transport options to the city. It is advisable to confirm your terminal and onward transport arrangements before you travel.

We recommend arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. This allows enough time to check in, clear security and immigration, and reach your boarding gate comfortably, especially during busy travel periods.
