Beverage Service
A wide range of hot and cold drinks is available throughout the flight, including juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and alcoholic beverages. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board.

For flights between Jakarta and Kathmandu, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Jakarta to Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, Premium Economy Class offers around 38 inches of pitch with up to 20 inches of width, Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access, and First Class offers a spacious fully flat bed.

On the Singapore to Kathmandu sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class provides about 32 inches of pitch and up to 19 inches of width, while Business Class offers enhanced space and a fully flat bed-style recline on dedicated seats designed for regional comfort.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities that make your layover comfortable and enjoyable. For longer connections, you can join an official city tour if your transit time meets the minimum hours required, letting you see highlights of Singapore before returning airside. For shorter layovers, you can enjoy themed gardens, rest areas, and quiet zones, as well as a wide variety of dining and shopping options. In Jakarta, eligible Singapore Airlines customers departing from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) may access designated lounges before their flight to Singapore. Access depends on your cabin class, KrisFlyer or partner status, and local lounge arrangements at the time of travel. Please check your booking details or ask our airport staff on departure day.

Jakarta follows Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7) year-round and does not observe daylight saving time. Kathmandu follows Nepal Time (UTC+5:45), also without daylight saving time. This means Kathmandu is 1 hour 15 minutes behind Jakarta throughout the year.

Visa and entry requirements depend on your nationality and travel purpose. We recommend that you check the latest information with the Nepalese authorities or your nearest embassy or consulate, and ensure your passport has sufficient validity and any required documents before you fly.

On arrival at Kathmandu, you will go through immigration and customs before exiting into the arrivals hall. Keep your passport, completed arrival forms, and any required visa documents easily accessible. It is advisable to arrange your airport transfer in advance or use official transport options available at the terminal.

For international journeys from Jakarta to Kathmandu via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure. This allows enough time for check-in, security screening, and immigration, especially during busy travel periods.
