For flights between Hanoi and Male, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares 30kg), Premium Economy Class 35kg, and Business Class 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Hanoi to Male once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, and Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Hanoi–Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX and Airbus A350-900, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can explore themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and a wide selection of shops and dining outlets without leaving the terminal. For longer layovers, you may join an official transit tour into the city if your connection meets the minimum time required. Shorter transits are well spent enjoying the airport s relaxation zones, play areas, or aviation-themed attractions. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it s an integral part of your journey.

When departing from Hanoi, eligible customers and members may be invited to use the SH Premium Lounge Ha Noi. During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may have access to facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and membership status. Lounge access is always subject to eligibility criteria and operating conditions on the day.

Hanoi follows Indochina Time (UTC+7) and does not observe daylight saving time. Male follows Maldives Time (UTC+5) and also does not observe daylight saving. This means Male is 2 hours behind Hanoi throughout the year; for example, when it is 14.00 in Hanoi, it is 12.00 in Male.

We recommend arriving at Noi Bai International Airport at least 2.5 to 3 hours before your scheduled departure to Singapore. This allows enough time for check-in, security clearance, and immigration before you proceed to your departure gate and connect onwards to Male via Singapore Changi Airport.

Male and the surrounding islands have a warm, tropical climate year-round. Lightweight, breathable clothing, swimwear, sun protection such as a hat and high-SPF sunscreen, and comfortable footwear for walking are useful.
