For flights between Beijing and Colombo, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), Business Class (40kg), and First Class (50kg) on sectors where these cabins are offered. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and Business Class and First Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Beijing to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, although Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. Connectivity is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On most Beijing to Singapore services on the Boeing 787-10 and Airbus A350-900, you can choose between Economy Class, with a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, and Business Class, which offers a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On selected Beijing to Singapore flights operated by the Boeing 777-300ER, Premium Economy Class is also available with a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width, along with First Class featuring a fully flat bed and enhanced privacy. Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

For a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy a wide range of facilities including indoor gardens, quiet rest areas, shower facilities, and family-friendly zones. If your transit time is long enough, you may join an official city tour offered from the airport, which typically requires at least a 5.5-hour layover. Shorter layovers are ideal for exploring the terminals, relaxing in a lounge, or sampling local and international cuisine. When departing from Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to use the Air China Lounge. If you depart from Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) on selected services or connections, eligible customers may have access to the BCS Lounge. Access is based on your cabin class and frequent flyer status.

During your transit at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may be able to use The Private Room, the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), the SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status. Lounge entitlements are confirmed at check-in and on your boarding pass.

Beijing follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) all year and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving. Colombo is therefore 2.5 hours behind Beijing throughout the year, regardless of your travel month.
