For flights between Taipei and Bengaluru, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are as follows: Economy Class allows 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class, available on the Singapore to Bengaluru sector, allows 35kg. Business Class allows 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines services on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Taipei to Singapore sector, you can choose Economy Class with a seat pitch of about 32 inches and up to 19 inches of seat width, or Business Class with a fully flat bed and direct aisle access. On the Singapore to Bengaluru sector, Economy Class offers similar legroom, Premium Economy Class provides around 38 inches of pitch and up to 20 inches of seat width, and Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

On both sectors of your journey, you can enjoy Singapore Airlines KrisWorld in-flight entertainment system on seatback screens. There is a wide choice of movies, TV shows, music, and games, which you can browse and control from your seat for the duration of the flight.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

For longer layovers at Singapore Changi Airport, you can consider joining the official transit tour into the city, which generally requires at least a 5.5 to 6-hour connection, subject to availability and entry requirements. For shorter connections, stay airside and enjoy amenities such as indoor gardens, quiet rest areas, free movie screenings, and family zones. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may relax in the SilverKris Lounge before their flight to Singapore. Access is determined by your cabin class and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status as per our lounge access policy.

During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may have access to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. Lounge entitlements are based on your onward sector from Singapore.

Taipei follows Taiwan Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Bengaluru follows India Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving time. Bengaluru is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes behind Taipei throughout the year.

Kempegowda International Airport is located to the north of the city centre and offers clear signage in English. On arrival, you will pass immigration and baggage claim before entering the public arrivals area, where you can find transport counters, information desks, and options for mobile connectivity.

For international flights from Taipei to Bengaluru via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Taipei Taoyuan International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. This allows enough time for check-in, security checks, and a relaxed walk to your gate.

Depending on your nationality, you may or may not need a visa to transit or enter Singapore. Many travellers can make an airside transit without formal entry. We recommend checking the latest visa and transit requirements with the relevant authorities or your local Singapore mission before you travel.

When you arrive from Taipei, follow the transfer signs at Singapore Changi Airport to locate your next departure gate and screens showing boarding times.
