For flights between Cairns and Medan, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are as follows: Economy Class passengers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers may check up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

At Cairns Airport, eligible Singapore Airlines passengers may be able to access the Escape Lounge before the flight to Singapore. Cairns follows Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST), which is UTC+10 and does not observe daylight saving time. Medan follows Western Indonesia Time, which is UTC+7 and also does not change during the year. This means Medan is 3 hours behind Cairns throughout the year.

We recommend arriving at Cairns Airport at least 2.5 to 3 hours before your scheduled departure to Singapore. This gives you enough time for check-in, security, and immigration, as well as a relaxed visit to shops or the lounge before boarding.
