Beverage Service
Throughout the journey, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, so you can toast your trip between Manila, Singapore, and Colombo.

For flights between Manila and Colombo, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class customers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class customers may check 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class customers may bring one piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance applicable to your journey will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines services from Manila to Singapore and from Singapore to Colombo once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Manila to Singapore sector operated by the Airbus A350-900 or the Boeing 787-10, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for the regional flight. Business Class seats convert into fully flat beds, with every seat offering direct aisle access.

On the Singapore to Colombo sector, operated by the Airbus A350-900, you will find a similar configuration. Economy Class provides a 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class offers fully flat beds with direct aisle access, giving you space to rest or work during this sector.

On both sectors of the journey, our aircraft feature seatback screens with KrisWorld, our in-flight entertainment system. You can choose from a wide library of films, television shows, music, and games, as well as content for younger travellers. Content is updated regularly to give you fresh options on every trip.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

If you have enough time between your Manila and Colombo flights, Singapore Changi Airport offers a complimentary transit tour programme for eligible passengers, generally requiring at least about 5.5 to 6 hours of layover. This lets you briefly experience the city before returning for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very comfortable. Changi Airport features gardens, rest zones, play areas, and a wide choice of dining and shopping, as well as facilities such as shower areas and transit hotels in selected terminals. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport (MNL), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may access the SilverKris Lounge before their flight to Singapore. During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers can access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and frequent flyer status.

If your Manila to Colombo trip is booked on a single Singapore Airlines itinerary, we will normally tag your checked baggage through to Colombo. In this case, you do not need to collect your bags at Singapore. You simply follow the transit signs, clear security if required, and proceed to your next departure gate.

Manila follows Philippines Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving time. Colombo is 2 hours 30 minutes behind Manila throughout the year, so when it is 12.00pm in Manila, it is 9.30am in Colombo.

You will depart from Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport and connect at Singapore Changi Airport. From there, you will continue to Bandaranaike International Airport, which serves Colombo. All sectors are operated by Singapore Airlines, allowing for convenient through check-in and a coordinated connection.

We recommend arriving at Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure to Singapore. This allows sufficient time for check-in, security screening, and immigration, especially during busy travel periods or if you need assistance at the airport.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay. Some travellers may also need transit documents for Singapore, even if they do not leave the airport. We recommend checking with the relevant embassies or official government websites before you travel.

Bandaranaike International Airport is located north of central Colombo. You can choose from several transport options on arrival, including pre-booked transfers and public transport. Journey times vary with traffic conditions, so allow extra time when travelling back to the airport for your departure. Check locally for current transport information.
