For flights between Colombo and Hong Kong, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class, 25kg on Lite and Value fares and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares; Premium Economy Class, 35kg; Business Class, 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your journey will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase paid plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Colombo to Singapore sector, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On the Singapore to Hong Kong sector, Economy Class offers the same 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class provides a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width, and Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

From Colombo to Singapore, you can choose between Economy Class and Business Class. From Singapore to Hong Kong, Economy Class, Premium Economy Class, and Business Class are available. You can combine different cabins across sectors to match your comfort preferences and travel plans.

You can select seats on both the Colombo to Singapore and Singapore to Hong Kong sectors, subject to availability and your fare type. Seat selection is available during booking or later via Manage Booking, with certain preferred seats offered for an additional charge depending on your ticket conditions.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy themed gardens, art installations, rest areas, and a wide choice of dining and shopping, all within easy walking distance or a short Skytrain ride. For longer layovers of around 5.5 hours or more, you may join one of the official transit tour options into the city, subject to operating conditions and eligibility. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait - it is an integral part of your journey.

In Colombo, eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to relax in partner facilities such as the AASL Lotus Lounge or the Araliya Lounge before their flight to Singapore. Lounge access depends on your cabin class, KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status, and the conditions of your ticket.

During your layover in Singapore, eligible customers may have access to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. Your boarding pass will indicate the lounge you are invited to use, if applicable.

Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Hong Kong follows Hong Kong Time, which is UTC+8 and also does not change throughout the year. Hong Kong is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Colombo at all times.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay. We recommend checking with the relevant consulate or official immigration website, and reviewing transit requirements for Singapore as well, before you book your flight.

For flights from Colombo to Hong Kong via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport at least 3 hours before departure. This allows enough time for check-in, security, and immigration, especially during busy travel periods.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for smooth transfers. Clear signs, transfer desks, and flight information displays guide you between gates. If your bags are checked through from Colombo to Hong Kong, you only need to follow the transfer signs and proceed directly to your next departure gate.

After landing at Hong Kong International Airport, you will proceed through immigration, baggage reclaim, and customs. Clear signs in English and Chinese guide you to airport trains, buses, and other onward transport options. We recommend checking local transport and travel information in advance for a smooth arrival.
