For flights between Rome and Kolkata, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class guests may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares; Premium Economy Class guests have 35kg; Business Class guests have 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on the Airbus A350-900 once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on both sectors of the Rome–Singapore–Kolkata journey. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Rome–Singapore sector operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class seats offer a pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, Premium Economy Class seats offer around 38 inches of pitch and up to 20 inches of width, and Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat.

At Rome Fiumicino, eligible Singapore Airlines passengers may access a designated lounge before the Rome–Singapore departure, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. For most itineraries ticketed on Singapore Airlines from Rome to Kolkata, we check your baggage through from Rome to Kolkata, even though you change aircraft at Singapore. You usually do not need to collect or re-check your bags at Singapore Changi Airport unless advised otherwise on your itinerary.

When you arrive from Rome, follow the transit signs to your connecting gate for Kolkata and check the monitors for any gate changes. There is no need to clear immigration if you are remaining in transit and your bags are checked through.

Depending on your layover duration and passport, you may be able to leave the airport to explore Singapore. You must meet any entry requirements, allow ample time to return for security and boarding, and ensure your travel insurance and visa status cover a short city visit.
