For flights between Kuala Lumpur and Kathmandu, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class guests may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class guests, available on selected Kuala Lumpur-Singapore sectors, may check 35kg. Business Class guests may check 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg. Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is stated on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Kuala Lumpur-Singapore sector, the Airbus A350-900 offers Economy Class seats with around 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch width, Premium Economy Class seats with about 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch width, and Business Class seats that convert into fully flat beds with direct aisle access. On Boeing 737-8 MAX services on this sector, you can enjoy Economy Class seats with similar legroom and comfortable recline, and Business Class seats that convert to fully flat beds.

On the Singapore-Kathmandu sector, the Boeing 737-8 MAX offers Economy Class seating with about 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch width, and Business Class seating with fully flat beds and generous personal space. Exact seat layout and configuration may vary slightly by aircraft.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy indoor gardens, relaxation zones, and a wide choice of dining and shopping without leaving the terminal. For longer layovers of at least about 5.5 to 6 hours, you may consider an official transit tour into the city, subject to availability and timing. For shorter connections, spending time airside is convenient and comfortable, with quiet areas to rest and facilities such as showers in selected zones. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to use the Global Lounge before departure. During your layover at Singapore, eligible customers can access facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status.

If your Kuala Lumpur to Kathmandu journey is ticketed on a single Singapore Airlines itinerary, we will usually check your baggage through to Kathmandu at Kuala Lumpur, so you do not need to collect it in Singapore. Your baggage tags and boarding passes issued at check-in will confirm the final destination of your checked baggage.

We recommend staying hydrated during the flight, moving around the cabin when it is safe to do so, and dressing in layers to adjust to temperature changes. Once in Kathmandu, allow time to acclimatise to the altitude, and check any health advisories for Nepal with your healthcare provider before travel.

Pack clothing you can layer, as mornings and evenings in Kathmandu can feel cooler than in Kuala Lumpur, especially in autumn and winter. Comfortable walking shoes, a light jacket, and any personal medication are useful. For trekking or outdoor activities, bring appropriate gear or plan to purchase items locally.
