For flights between Johannesburg and Hyderabad, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage: in Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. Premium Economy Class includes 35kg, and Business Class includes 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage: in Economy Class and Premium Economy Class you may bring 1 piece up to 7kg; in Business Class you may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is confirmed on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on eligible aircraft once we are above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Johannesburg to Singapore sector, operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, Premium Economy Class seats offer a 38-inch pitch with up to 20-inch seat width, and Business Class features fully flat beds with direct aisle access.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy a wide range of airside attractions, including themed gardens, art installations, quiet zones, and family-friendly play areas. For longer connections, you may be able to join the official free transit tour into the city, which typically requires at least 5.5 to 6 hours of transit time.

In Johannesburg, eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to use the South African Airways The Lounge (Premium) at O. R. Tambo International Airport before their departure to Singapore. Access is determined by your cabin class and frequent flyer status, and is confirmed at check-in.

During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers departing on Singapore Airlines flights may have access to facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. Our airport staff will guide you to the appropriate lounge on the day of travel.

Johannesburg follows South Africa Standard Time (UTC+2) year-round and does not observe daylight saving time. Hyderabad follows India Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving. Hyderabad is therefore 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of Johannesburg throughout the year.

When you arrive in Hyderabad from Johannesburg, you will clear immigration, collect your checked baggage, and pass through customs. Make sure you have your passport, visa if required, and arrival documents ready. After customs, you will find options for local transport, mobile connectivity, and onward travel assistance in the arrivals area.
