For flights between Mumbai and Kuala Lumpur, our weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are as follows: Economy Class passengers have 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares; Premium Economy Class passengers have 35kg; Business Class passengers have 40kg; Suites passengers have 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are 1 piece up to 7kg for Economy Class and Premium Economy Class, and 2 pieces, each up to 7kg, for Business Class and Suites. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Mumbai to Kuala Lumpur once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Mumbai–Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch pitch with up to 20 inches of width, Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access, and Suites on the Airbus A380-800 feature a fully flat bed in a private space. Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can take advantage of extensive airside facilities, including themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and family-friendly spaces. For longer layovers, you may be able to join an official transit tour into the city; these typically require at least a 5.5- to 6-hour connection to join comfortably. For shorter stops, stay airside to enjoy shopping, dining, and relaxation zones. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

At Mumbai Airport, eligible Singapore Airlines passengers may be invited to relax in designated partner lounges such as the Adani West Wing Lounge or Adani East Wing Lounge, depending on the departure gate area and operational arrangements on the day.

During your transit at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may be able to access facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status. Lounge access is determined by your onward boarding pass from Singapore.

Mumbai follows India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 all year. Kuala Lumpur follows Malaysia Time (MYT), which is UTC+8:00 all year. Kuala Lumpur is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Mumbai throughout the year, as neither city observes daylight saving time.

We recommend that you arrive at Mumbai Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time for flights to Kuala Lumpur via Singapore. This allows enough time for check-in, security screening, and immigration formalities before you proceed to the gate.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality and the purpose and length of your stay. We recommend checking with the relevant Malaysian authorities or your local consulate, and reviewing transit rules for Singapore, before you travel from Mumbai to Kuala Lumpur.

When connecting in Singapore on the way to Kuala Lumpur, you will usually remain in the transit area between flights, with your checked baggage transferred automatically if both flights are on the same ticket. Follow the transfer signs to your next gate and check the flight information screens for boarding time and terminal.
