Experience the World of KrisFlyer (Global Contest) - Social Campaign Terms and Conditions

KrisFlyer members who participate in the Experience the World of KrisFlyer (Global Contest) ("Contest") in accordance with these terms (the "Terms") from 7 November 2024 (0800 hrs GMT+8) to 27 November 2024 (2359 hrs GMT+8) ("Contest Period") will stand a chance to win a trip to Singapore which includes 2 business class round-trip tickets on Singapore Airlines and/or Scoot, a 3D2N stay (with breakfast) in Marina Bay Room at Fairmont Singapore, and 50,000 KrisFlyer miles to be used only on Kris+, Pelago and KrisShop purchases. (the "Prize").

 

  1. The Contest is organised by Singapore Airlines Limited ("SIA"), and is open to all KrisFlyer members (unless otherwise stated) who participate in the Contest in accordance with these Terms, including without limitation as described in paragraph 2 below, during the Contest Period.
  2. In order to participate in the Contest, a KrisFlyer member must:
    1. reside in Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong SAR China, Hungary, Iceland, India (excluding Tamil Nadu), Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Moldova, Morocco, Myanmar, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan China, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Vietnam, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom or United States;
    2. not residing in Singapore;
    3. follow the official KrisFlyer account on either Facebook (www.facebook.com/krisflyer.official) or Instagram (www.instagram.com/krisflyer.official); and
    4. upload at least two (2) images and/or video clips depicting their fondest memory of being a KrisFlyer member, and submit publicly-accessible URLs via which the images and/or video clips may be accessed, via the online form accessible at https://bit.ly/MMxKFF or as may be designated by SIA from time to time ("Submission").
    Each KrisFlyer member who meets the requirements above shall be referred to as a "Participant".
  3. SIA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of Participants at its sole and absolute discretion. The demise of a Participant automatically disqualifies his/her entry.
  4. By taking part in this Contest, each Participant acknowledges and agrees that:
    1. they must not submit, upload or publish any content that is inaccurate, misleading, libellous, defamatory, threatening, pornographic, obscene, indecent, lewd, abusive, illegal, political, racist, religious, blasphemous, false, an infringement of any intellectual property rights of a third party, or would otherwise violate or encourage the violation of any law or the proprietary or other rights of any third party (individually and collectively "Improper Content");
    2. each Participant automatically grants SIA a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and royalty-free licence to use (including without limitation, to store, reproduce, modify, distribute, publish, display, communicate, transmit, broadcast, podcast, webcast, or broadcast) and to sub-licence any and all intellectual property rights, title and interests (including copyright) in their Submissions, including without limitation to repurpose and/or report their answers in other social media posts and marketing collaterals as and when it deems fit, without informing the Participant in advance; and
    3. each Participant represents and warrants that:
      1. all Submissions are the Participant's own original works and creations and do not and will not infringe the copyright or any other intellectual property or other rights of any third party;
      2. none of the Submissions are proprietary or confidential;
      3. none of the Submissions are Improper Content, nor will they expose SIA to any civil or criminal proceedings in any part of the world; and
      4. the use by SIA and other users of the Submissions for the purposes and in the manner set out in these Terms will not require any further licences or rights from, or infringe any intellectual property or other rights of, any third party.
      5. the Submissions (stories, images and videos) in their original or edited format may be processed without further notification, remuneration or compensation, and that copyright and all other intellectual property rights in and to all images shall vest solely in SIA.
  5. SIA may select the Participant with the most interesting Submission, as determined by SIA in its sole and absolute discretion, to be the winner of the Contest ("Winner").
  6. SIA will notify the Winners via email or via such other means as SIA may determine from time to time at its sole and absolute discretion. SIA will provide the Winners with further information on how to claim the Prize.
  7. In order to collect their Prize, the Winner must comply with the following conditions:
    1. the Winner [and their chosen travelling partner (if any)] must return a signed letter of acceptance in the form prescribed by SIA via email to SIA within 7 days or such other time period as SIA may designate;
    2. the Winner must cooperate with SIA to plan their trip to Singapore, [including without limitation by selecting flight and hotel dates in consultation with SIA and providing SIA with such information as SIA may require from time to time];
    3. the Winner must use the KrisFlyer Miles awarded as part of the Prize during their trip to Singapore to redeem at least 1 Pelago activity, 1 purchase at a restaurant using the Kris+ app, and at least 1 KrisShop purchase;
    4. the Winner and his/her travelling partner must agree to be filmed by SIA:
      1. during their winning trip to Singapore;
      2. recounting the Winner’s KrisFlyer story as depicted in the Winner's Submission, on camera;
      3. experiencing their Fairmont Swissotel the Stamford hotel room;
      4. experiencing using the Kris+ app at a restaurant;
      5. experiencing an activity booked on Pelago;
      6. revealing of items bought from KrisShop; and
      7. any other experiences that SIA may designate from time to time; and
    5. the Winner and his/her travelling partner must also agree to such other terms and conditions as SIA may prescribe from time to time.
  8. Subject to the Winner's full and timely compliance with these Terms, the Winner shall be eligible to collect the Prize. If the Winner is determined by SIA in its sole and absolute discretion to have breached any provisions in these Terms and/or to be not eligible to participate in the Contest for any reason or at any time, the Prizes may be forfeited and/or disposed of by SIA, and SIA may select a new Winner.
  9. Following the Winner's trip to Singapore, any remaining unused KrisFlyer Miles will be credited into the Winner's KrisFlyer account and will be valid for a period of one (1) year from the date on which they are so credited, following which they shall expire and be deemed null and void.
  10. KrisFlyer miles can be used: (i) to redeem eligible flights on Singapore Airlines, Scoot or their partner airlines, and/or (ii) for purchases on non-airline partners (KrisShop, KrisFlyer vRooms, via Kris+, and/or Pelago), in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions.
    1. The use of KrisFlyer miles to redeem an air tickets on eligible flights is subject to seat availability at the time of reservation or ticket issuance and must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme, (available online at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/).
    2. The use of KrisFlyer miles to redeem merchandise on KrisShop (available online at https://www.krisshop.com/en/) is subject to stock availability at the time of purchase and must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme, and the terms of use of the KrisShop website (available online at https://www.krisshop.com/en/page/platform-and-sale-terms).
    3. The use of KrisFlyer miles to redeem hotel stays or car rentals on KrisFlyer vRooms (available online athttps://www.krisflyervrooms.com) is subject to room/car availability at the time of booking and must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme, and the terms of use of the KrisFlyer vRooms website (available online at https://krisflyervrooms.com/shopping/terms).
    4. The use of KrisFlyer miles to redeem shopping, dining, wellness services via the Kris+ app must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme, and Kris+ partners (available online at www.krisplus.com).
    5. The use of KrisFlyer miles to redeem activities and experiences on Pelago must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme, and terms of use of Pelago (https://pages.pelago.co/en-sg/terms-of-use/).
  11. The Prize (or any part thereof) cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash. Transfer of KrisFlyer miles from a Winner’s KrisFlyer account to another KrisFlyer member’s account is not permitted.
  12. SIA reserves the right at any time in its absolute discretion to (a) cancel or modify the Contest; or (b) substitute, withdraw or cancel any Prize, or to award one or more but not all of the Prizes, without prior notice and without having to disclose any reason therefore and without any payment or compensation whatsoever. All decisions made by SIA, in respect to any matter relating to this Contest, including the choice of each Winner, shall be final, conclusive and binding on all Participants and Winners, and no correspondence will be entertained. SIA reserves the right to vary these Terms or terminate this Contest without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion.

 

 

Participation

  1. By participating in the Contest, each Participant agrees to comply with and be bound by these Terms, SIA's conditions of use of website, SIA's Privacy Policy (http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/privacy-policy/) KrisFlyer Terms and Conditions (https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_KrisFlyer/termsconditions-kf/), Kris+ Terms and Conditions (https://sqkrisplus.page.link/Download), Pelago terms and conditions (https://pages.pelago.co/en/terms-of-use) and KrisShop terms and conditions (https://www.krisshop.com/en/page/platform-and-sale-terms) (collectively, "SIA Terms & Conditions"). Non-compliance with or breach of any of these Terms (including without limitation any of the SIA Terms & Conditions) may result in the Participant being disqualified at any stage of the Contest, and any Prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed by SIA. Unless otherwise defined, capitalised terms used herein shall have the meanings assigned to them in the respective SIA Terms and Conditions.
  2. By participating in the Contest, each Participant consents that any and all personal data he/she submits (including his/her name, KrisFlyer membership number, email address and contact number) or otherwise makes available to SIA may be collected, used, disclosed, or otherwise processed by SIA, its authorised service providers and its advertising and promotion agencies for the purposes indicated in SIA's Privacy Policy (available online at http://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/privacy-policy/) and for administrating the Contest and the Prizes, including to communicate with the Winners in relation to collection of the Prize and for SIA's publicity and/or advertising campaigns connected to the Contest, and further agrees that such collection, use, disclosure, and processing will be without payment or compensation.
  3. Employees of SIA, their immediate families, affiliates, subsidiaries, related agencies, principal sponsors and suppliers associated with this campaign are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Corporations and other artificial persons are not eligible to participate in the Contest.
  4. To the extent permitted under applicable law, SIA will not be responsible or liable for any consequences that any Participant may suffer (including without limitation any damage, loss, injury or disappointment) by entering the Contest or the Participant's acceptance of any Prize.
  5. Unless otherwise specified, SIA is not responsible for and will not bear any of the expenses and all ancillary costs which may be incurred in the participation in the Contest and/or the Prize.
  6. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and any advertising, promotional, publicity, or other materials relating to or in connection with the Contest, these Terms shall prevail.

  8. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts.
