We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Customer Services Officer to commence employment in early August. The role requires the applicant to work afternoon/evening shifts and is responsible for supporting airport operations and providing and assisting with customer service at all operational areas. Initial training will be conducted at Sydney International Airport for the first month.   

The successful applicant will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Perform activities related to flight handling, including pre-flight planning, check-in, departure and arrival handling, baggage, lost and found, ramp, delay handling and any customer enquiries
  • Proactively interact with customers at all touchpoints and address complaints by providing effective solutions
  • Work closely with various ground services partners to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with the service standards agreement
  • Maintain proper records and filing system on flights and daily operations.
  • General airport administrative duties, including vendor invoice verification
  • Review work procedures and implement solutions to improve service experience or efficiency
  • Any other duties as assigned by Station Manager Western Sydney

 

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of all traffic and operational functions including criteria such as check-in, delay handling, crisis management etc.
  • Strong service ethic, good time management/organizational skills and ability to work flexible hours, when required, in a busy environment
  • Good interpersonal skills with internal/external customers and strong conflict resolution skills
  • A strong team player who promotes team spirit and team unity
  • Ability to obtain security clearance for an ASIC pass

 

This is a Full-Time permanent position. All candidates must be eligible to work in Australia, as evidenced by Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency status. The position has a salary range of $67,969 – $82,992 including superannuation. The starting salary may be adjusted commensurate with experience and forms part of an overall salary package that includes superannuation, attractive travel benefits and subsidised health insurance.
