With 2,000 kilometres of coastline, there is no shortage of beaches and for the quintessential Aussie experience of seeing a kangaroo by the beach, head to Emerald Beach near Coffs Harbour on the North Coast. 

If you’re visiting New South Wales between May to November, join a whale watching cruise - 30,000 humpback whales migrate along the New South Wales coastline each year. Dolphins can be spotted year-round in Jervis Bay and Port Stephens or if you are looking to snorkel with fur seals, visit Montague Island on the South Coast.
