Credit Card Verification in Germany FAQ
If you book a flight for a passenger who isn’t travelling with you, you may need to meet certain requirements before that passenger will be allowed to board. If you made the booking with a debit or credit card that is not registered under the “Verified by Visa” or “MasterCard SecureCode Programme”, you will need to be present at the airport check-in counter for verification.
If you do not wish to be present at the airport check-in counter for verification, you will need to submit a Letter of Indemnity at our local Singapore Airlines Ticket Office in Frankfurt in order to be exempted from having to be present at the airport.
Please find below more information in our FAQs for credit card verification for bookings made in Germany.
What is a Letter of Indemnity (LOI)?
Can I be exempted from having to be present at the airport check-in counter to verify my credit card or to show my Letter of Indemnity?
Yes. If you have paid for the passenger’s booking with a Visa or MasterCard credit card that is registered and verified under the “Verified by Visa” or “MasterCard SecureCode Programme”, you do not have to be present at the airport check-in counter for verification.
If the credit card used for the booking was not registered or verified under the “Verified by Visa” or “MasterCard SecureCode Programme”, the credit card holder may contact our local German Singapore Airlines Ticket Office in Frankfurt to sign a Letter of Indemnity (LOI), in order to be exempted from having to be present at the airport.
