When you savour your meal on board, you’re not just enjoying it for the pleasure it gives. You’re also assured that your meals are prepared to suit your needs. Whether it’s for religious, dietary or allergy reasons, or simply for a teething toddler, all you need to do is make a request from our list of Special Meals.

For SilkAir flights:
As most special meals are specially prepared by our culinary experts in Singapore, for Singapore bound flights, we may need up to 32 hours notice before your flight departure.

Baby, Infant &Child Meals
Baby, Infant and Child Meals *
Baby Meal (BBML) ^ Suitable for infants less than 1 year old, this meal consists of 3 jars (approximately 80g/3oz to 110g/4oz per jar) of baby food - main course, vegetables and dessert.

^For SilkAir flight, this meal consists of 2 jars (approximately 80g/3oz to 110g/4oz per jar) of baby food - main course and fruits or vegetables.
Post-Weaning Meal (PWMLM) Suitable for infants between 1 and 2 years old, this meal is more substantial than a Baby Meal. Food items are easy to bite, chew and digest.
Child Meal for Infant (CHMLI) Suitable for infants less than 2 years old, this meal is more substantial than a Post-Weaning Meal (PWMLM) or Baby Meal (BBML). Food items are easy to bite (soft) type of food items with lighter-based sauces.

Western
(CHML)
Suitable for children between the ages of two and below 12 years old, this meal features a Western-style main course and may contain chicken, fish, pasta, vegetables, chocolate, crisps, crackers, milk and dairy products, fruit and fruit juices. Child Meal Asian(CHMLA) Suitable for children between the ages of two and below 12 years old, this meal features an Asian style main course and may contain chicken, fish, noodles, vegetables, chocolate, crisps, crackers, milk and dairy products, fruit and fruit juices. For flights departing Singapore, details of the dish(es) available on your flight can be found on the Manage Booking page.

*Child Meal Asian (CHMLA) is not available on SilkAir Flight. 
Child Meal Vegetarian(CHMLV) Suitable for children between the ages of two and below 12 years old, this meal features a vegetarian main course and may contain pasta, noodles, vegetables, chocolate, crisps, crackers, milk and dairy products, fruit and fruit juices. For flights departing Singapore, details of the dish(es) available on your flight can be found on the Manage Booking page.

*Child Meal Vegetarian (CHMLV) is not available on SilkAir Flight.

Infant/child meals are available on all SilkAir operated flights, except those between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Please make the request at time of booking.

Religious Meals
Hindu Non-Vegetarian Meal (HNML) This meal is non-vegetarian and contains meat (lamb, poultry), fish, and/or dairy products. It is a non-vegetarian meal suitable for those who do not consume beef, veal, pork, smoked and raw fish. Typically cooked spicy or curried, its preparation and cooking style may vary.
Kosher Meal (KSML) * Prepared according to Jewish religious specifications, this pre-packed meal (which is sealed) contains meat.

* Pre-packed and sealed; contains meat. KSML is only available in SilkAir Business class. Request must be made at least 48 hours before flight departure. Passengers on flight duration of 1.5 hours and below will be served a cold refreshment.

Kosher Refreshment (KSRFM) Food prepared and served according to Jewish religious specifications. This pre-packed refreshment (which is sealed) contains meat. KSRFM is only available in SilkAir Economy class on all MI flights except those of Kuala Lumpur. Request must be made at least 48 hours before flight departure.
Muslim Meal (MOML) No alcohol, pork, pig by-products, ham or bacon is used in the preparation of this meal. Its preparation and cooking style may vary.
Vegetarian Meals
Vegetarian Indian Meal (AVML) This is a non-strict vegetarian meal which is prepared in an Indian style and is usually spicy. No meat, seafood or egg is allowed. This meal may include dairy products.
Vegetarian Jain Meal (VJML) Suitable for Jains, this meal is cooked in an Indian style and is usually spicy. No meat, seafood and egg products are used in the preparation of this meal. Onions, garlic, ginger, mushrooms and root vegetables are also not used. 
Vegetarian Oriental Meal (VOML) Typically cooked in Chinese style, this meal does not contain meat, seafood, egg and dairy products.
Vegetarian Vegan Meal (VGML) Typically cooked in Western style, this meal does not contain meat, seafood, egg and dairy products.
Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal (VLML) Prepared in Western style, this is a non-strict vegetarian meal which can include eggs and dairy products but eliminates all meats and seafood.
Dietary Meals
Bland Meal (BLML) Items that cause gastric irritation will not be used in the preparation of this meal e.g. black pepper, chilli powder, cocoa and alcohol.
Diabetic Meal (DBML) Sugar is not used in the preparation of this meal. Salt in restricted quantity is allowed.
Fruit Platter (FPML) Only fresh fruits are served for this meal.
Gluten Intolerant Meal (GFML) No wheat, rye, barley and bran in any form (including food items which may contain such ingredients) are served for this meal.
Low Fat Meal (LFML) This meal excludes the use of animal fats or fatty foods. Food naturally high in cholesterol (e.g. prawns and poultry skin of all types) and fried foods of all types are prohibited. Only low-fat dairy products (e.g. skim milk or cottage cheese), lean meat and poly-unsaturated liquid vegetable oils are permitted.
Low Lactose Meal (NLML) This meal excludes foods which contain milk, dry milk solids, casein, cheese, cream, butter, lactose and margarine.
Low Salt Meal (LSML) Salt, as well as naturally salted and processed foods (e.g. baking powder, soda and MSG) are either eliminated or restricted in amount in the preparation of this meal.
Non-Strict Nut Free Meal (NFMLA) Ingredients such as groundnuts and legumes are omitted from this meal. Please contact our Reservations Office to make the necessary arrangements for your flight.
Other Meals
Japanese Meal (JPMLM) Available only to Suites and First Class passengers, this meal is featured on flights from Singapore and other selected routes, with a flight duration of 2 hours or more. Please contact our Reservations Office to make the necessary arrangements for your flight.
Seafood Meal (SFML)* This meal contains only seafood, including fish.

* Seafood meals are not available on SilkAir flight.
Non Seafood Meal (NSFML) This meal does not include any crustaceans, mollusks and fish, or parts thereof.
