Checking in

We encourage all passengers to minimise their time at the airport by turning on auto check-in, checking in online, or checking in with the SingaporeAir mobile app if they are eligible to do so. Even if you are required to check in at the airport counter, be assured that there are many safety precautions in place to make your departure safe and smooth. Please note, Singapore Changi Airport is currently closed to members of the public, and access to Terminal 3 Departure Hall is restricted to Door 4. Passengers are required to present a printed or electronic copy of their air ticket to enter the terminal. The First Class Check-in Reception at Changi Airport Terminal 3 is also currently closed at this time.

From 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure, you can check in online or via the SingaporeAir mobile app. If you have turned on auto check-in in Manage Booking, you will receive an email confirmation once we have checked you in.

Generate boarding pass and declare checked baggage
Generate boarding pass and declare checked baggage

If you are eligible for a digital or mobile boarding pass, generate them after checking in. If you wish to check in your baggage yourself (selected airports only), declare the number of bags for later printing of baggage tags at the airport, to minimise contact with the self-service kiosk.

Print baggage tags

If you have declared the number of bags you are checking in online, you can use self-service kiosks at selected airports to print your baggage tags, by simply scanning your digital or mobile boarding pass. Otherwise, you can declare checked baggage via the kiosks to generate. You will be prompted to scan your digital or mobile boarding pass. At Changi Airport, these kiosks are fitted with proximity sensors, so you will only need to hover your finger over the screen to make your selection.
