- Course: All courses are considered except Architecture, Biomedical, Biotechnology, Dentistry, Law, Medicine, and Pharmacy.
- Eligible Educational Institutions: Prestigious overseas universities (outside of Singapore)
- Applicant must:
- Have strong academic records in Secondary School / Institute of Technical Education / Polytechnic / Junior College/ International Baccalaureate
- Have strong leadership qualities as demonstrated in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) and National Service (if applicable)
- Be of Malay ethnicity / Muslim (for SIA-Mendaki Undergraduate Scholarship)
- Belong to an Indian sub-ethnic group (for SIA-SINDA Undergraduate Scholarship)
- Successful applicants are required to sign a bond to serve Singapore Airlines for 6 years and be attached to Singapore Airlines for internships.
- Value of Awards: Tuition and other compulsory fees, one-off pre-studies allowance, annual maintenance allowance, annual trip to any SIA-operated destination at the beginning and end of course, reimbursement of university applications and entrance tests, and internship attachments to Singapore Airlines.

Singapore-Industry Scholarships (SgIS)
- The Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS) is an undergraduate scholarship for students at various stages of their university education who are keen to contribute to leading organisations in Singapore’s strategic sectors.
- Singapore Airlines is honoured to be one of the sponsoring organisations for the SgIS. For more information and application details, visit https://www.moe.gov.sg/sgis/. Singapore Citizens may apply.
SIA Mid-Term Local Undergraduate Scholarships
- The SIA Mid-Term Local Scholarship is an undergraduate scholarship for students currently pursuing university education. Applicants should have an interest in aviation, strong academic records and leadership qualities as demonstrated in Co-Curricular Activities (CCA). All nationalities may apply.
- Successful applicants are required to sign a bond to serve Singapore Airlines for 2-3 years and be attached to Singapore Airlines for internships. Visit here to apply.

Faris Amin, Manager Partnerships and Prorates
“I have benefitted from the internal mobility schemes that allows me to rotate to diverse roles, and learn different parts of the business.
Overseas opportunities are also available through the Station Manager and Overseas Manager Schemes. What I find most fulfilling is that regardless of our roles in SIA, we work together to connect people with their family and friends.”
Career History: Faris started as a Network Planning Analyst, before rotating to Regional Marketing Manager (West Asia and Africa). He was promoted to Manager Investor Relations, and is now Manager Partnerships and Prorates.
Ong Miao Ling, Manager Kris+ Product Marketing

Career History: Miao Ling started out as an Analyst in Strategic Planning and Group Asset Management, before being appointed as Staff Assistant to Chairman and CEO. She has since been promoted to the role of Manager Kris+ Product Marketing.
Jason Sia, Regional Cargo Manager (North Asia)
“It has always been my childhood dream to work in the aviation industry. SIA offers a global career with opportunities to experience a dynamic career overseas.
There are plenty of opportunities for professional and personal growth where you get to rotate across different fields such as engineering, commercial to operations, planning and more.”
Career History: Jason started out in Commercial Planning, before taking on the role of a Technical Service Engineer. He has since been posted to Beijing as Regional Cargo Manager (North Asia).
Sameer Kanneganti, Manager Northern and Eastern India
“SIA offers me the opportunity to continuously learn. Whatever your career interest might be, there is a role that will suit you.
As a scholar, you get to experience different key roles in the organisation and gain insights into SIA’s commercial and operational areas. There are also opportunities for you to manage one of SIA’s overseas stations.”
Career History: Sameer started out in Commercial Planning and Global & Corporate Sales, before moving to London as Regional Marketing Manager (Europe). He has since been promoted to Manager Northern and Eastern India based in Delhi.
Rachel Lee, Assistant Manager Sales Excellence
“As part of the SIA Scholarship, I completed three internship stints which gave me valuable exposure to different parts of the SIA’s business, including sales and marketing, finance and customer service.
My advice to our future scholars is to approach with an open mind, and a strong willingness to learn. Do not be afraid to ask questions, and there is always someone ready to support you in your journey.”
Career History: Rachel started out as a Planning Analyst in Cargo Commercial Planning, before moving to Regional Sales Planning (South East Asia). She is now with the Global Centre of Sales Excellence team.
Chin Char Juin, Data Scientist

Career History: Char Juin completed his overseas undergraduate studies in 2024, and is now a Data Scientist in the Information Technology Division.
