The most impressive buildings of this pulsating mega city are with no doubt the Petronas twin towers, with 452 metres and 88 floors the highest twin towers in the world.

Penang
Penang

Penang has far more on offer than 'only' tropical natural flair and fantastic hotels. The main city Georgetown with its colonial flair looks back on a rich history. Already in 1786 the British set up one of their first trading posts in the Far East here.

Today, Penang is a cosmopolitan hotspot with a unique cultural mixture of East and West. Furthermore, both locals and visitors from all over the world crown Penang as the place with the best food in the whole of Malaysia.

Ipoh
Ipoh

Ipoh is Malaysia's third largest city and is the capital of Perak state. The city was once the centre of the tin-mining industrie in Malaysia, which reached the height of its glory in the 1950s. Nowadays, Ipoh is becoming a popular tourist destination and is mainly praised for its delicious food and characteritic architecture. In the city centre you can still find a lot of historical buildings from the colonial era.  

You will never get bored in Ipoh as there are plenty of exciting attractions to discover. For instance, visit Gopeng and try thrilling activities such as caving or white water rafting. If you are travelling with children, you might want to consider going to Lost World water theme park.

Kota Kinabalu
Kota Kinabalu

Kota Kinabalu is the capital of Sabah on the island of Borneo. Its winning over visitors mainly by its beaches, the offshore islands, the easygoing lifestyle and the heartiness of its inhabitants. Kota Kinabalu’s surroundings such as the Kinabalu Park, a drive with the historical North Borneo railway, island hopping or jungle trekking are fascinating to each visitor.

A real highlight is Mount Kinabalu, with an altitude of 4'095 metres the highest mountain in Southeast Asia. Adventurers and hikers are fully in their element here. There are four tropical vegetation zones around Mount Kinabalu - from the tropical lowlands over hilly rainforests to alpine zones. The area is incredibly rich in flora and fauna and of course it is home to the playful orang utans.

Kuantan
Kuantan

Kuantan is the capital of Malaysia's state Pahang and is well known for the white sandy beaches, clear blue waters and tropical jungles. The most famous beach in Kuantan is Teluk Campedak, located about 5km from the city centre, which is characterized by its beautiful pine trees lining the coast.

For adventurers, Kuantan is perfect for mangrove forest trekking or water-based sports such as surfing. Probably the best place for advanced and professional surfers, is Cherating Beach.

Kuching
Kuching

Kuching is the capital of the state of Sarawak on the Island of Borneo. For nearly a century, the city was the residence of the White Rajas of Sarawak, a dynasty founded by the British adventurer James Brooke. The world-famous precious pepper, cocoa, rice, oil palms and exotic woods all grow in Sarawak. Visitors can explore a unique fauna and flora on widely ramified water routes. Animals such as the Hornbill, Proboscis Monkeys and every now and then even Orang Utans can be seen from there.

An absolute must is paying a visit to an Iban tribe. Those former headhunters nowadays live peacefully in their traditional long houses. The Ibans usually greet their guests wearing traditional costumes; with dances and having them try a sip of rice wine called Tuak.

Langkawi
Langkawi

The archipelago of Langkawi consists 99 tropical Islands. Cascades, mysterious caves, idyllic rice paddies; Langkawi is the Pearl of Malaysia and the favourite Malayan destination of Swiss travellers. Langkawi is a world-renowned beach holiday resort and a synonym of a tropical paradise with first class hotels, wonderful long sand beaches, turquoise water and fantastic duty free options.

A highlight of each Langkawi-Trip is the rare experience of feeding a sea eagle (Langkawi’s emblem) in its natural habitat.
