Manila is one of the most multifaceted cities of Asia. Many historical sites can be found in the old city centre. A visit in the walled city Intramuros is a must see. As the name already implies, this part of town is a fortress full of historical buildings and grand churches. Manila’s Chinatown – Binondo – is particularly pretty to look at during a carriage ride. A walk down the famous Roxas Boulevard to the Manila Bay is advisable at sunset. Makati City is Manila's financial centre. Mega-shopping malls, splendid boulevards, fancy bars and restaurants, futuristic skyscrapers and a vibrant nightlife are standard here.
Surrounded by rain forest and volcanic landscapes and ideally located at the ocean, a vast variety of worthwile sightseeing spots are in close distance to Manila. The historical island of Corrigidor or the Pagsanjan Falls are only two examples.
Cebu City is the oldest town of the country. Accordingly, it has a rich historical heritage. Nowadays, the city is a lively metropolis with a great nightlife and plenty of shopping options. There are also some art galleries well worth seeing in Cebu City. The rest of the island with its beautiful white sandy beaches is far calmer and quieter. Furthermore, Cebu is world-famous for its amazing diving spots. Make sure you try a fresh mango juice before leaving the island.
Plenty of paradise islands surround Cebu Island. Amongst these are the stunning Camotes Islands or Malapascua Island. Visitors traveling a bit further will reach the province of Bohol, which has become world-renowned for its so-called ‘Chocolate Hills’. But not only this mystical hilly landscape can be found here but also extensive mangrove forests and further dream beaches.
Clark is a metropolis located in the heart of Central Luzon region and is about an hour's drive away from the capital Manila. Clark is mainly known for its air base which was the largest US air base outside the United States until 1991, when it was reverted to the Philippine government. Nowadays, you can still see the US influences such as the graceful houses with large verandahs and other historical buildings.
There are many indoor and outdoor activities in and around Clark. While there are plenty of shopping, dining and relaxing spa options, many visitors prefer taking the more adventurous tour such as hot-air ballooning, visiting the Haduan Falls, going sky diing, off-road driving or trekking mount Pinatubo.

The landscape around Davao City belongs to the most picturesque in the Philippines. Volcanic hills and valleys are covered with plantations full of exotic fruits and orchid farms. Here, golf fans can play a round surrounded by lush fruit or coconut plantations. For those who fancy a hike, Mount Apo, the highest mountain of the country is worth a trip. The city itself is the colourful centre of the Southern Philippines and a visit here is especially recommendable during the Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival in August.
Highly recommendable is a turn on a traditional sailing boat; the visit of an orchid farm and buying locally produced souvenirs. Why not trying out the local delicacy – grilled tuna with regional sauce?
Kalibo is situated in close distance to the island of Boracay, which is well known for its breathtaking beaches. The water here is crystal-clear, very clean and gleams in wonderful shades of blue. Approximately 30 beaches and bays seam the island and each has its own charm. Four-kilometer long White Beach is the best known amongst Boracay’s beaches and it hasn't been put on the Top 10 list of the most beautiful beaches worldwide for no reason.
Boracay is the perfect place for anyone keen on sports. Be it onshore or offshore. Furthermore, several diving spots lie within close proximity. The north of the island is also well known for its bizarre caves. Boracay’s nightlife predominantly takes place outside.
