In August 2026, the Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group recorded a 1.5% year-on-year increase in passenger traffic on healthy demand, while passenger capacity grew by 3.5%. The growth in both passenger traffic and capacity was mainly in East Asia, Europe, and the South West Pacific.
The Group’s passenger load factor (PLF) stood at 86.4%, with SIA and Scoot posting monthly PLFs of 84.7% and 92.2% respectively. Passenger load factors saw a year-on-year decrease in East Asia, Europe, and South West Pacific route regions as passenger growth tracked behind capacity increases. The two airlines carried a combined total of 3.7 million passengers, 3.6% higher than a year ago.
Cargo loads rose 2.8% year-on-year, while capacity declined 0.7% due to aircraft maintenance activity. As a result, the cargo load factor increased by 2.0 percentage points to 57.2%. Cargo demand remained strong across the board, with some softening of e-commerce flow to Europe following the EU’s introduction of a small-parcel duty and the removal of the de minimis exemption from 1 July 2026.
As of 31 August 2026, the Group’s passenger network¹ covered 136 destinations in 35 countries and territories. SIA served 78 destinations, while Scoot served 84 destinations. The cargo network¹ comprised 139 destinations in 36 countries and territories.
