Terms and Conditions
- This promotion ("Promotion") is organised by Singapore Airlines Limited ("SIA"), where existing KrisFlyer members ("Referrers") may be eligible to win KrisFlyer miles for referring new KrisFlyer members ("New Members") into the KrisFlyer programme.
- The Promotion is open to all KrisFlyer members worldwide, aged 18 years or above as at 31 January 2020.
- This Promotion commences on 31 January 2020, 0000hrs (GMT+8) and ends on 29 February 2020, 2359hrs (GMT+8) ("Promotional Period")..
- Referrers may participate in this Promotion by providing New Members with their KrisFlyer membership numbers along with the promo code "KFBD21". New Members must then sign up for their KrisFlyer accounts using the information above within the Promotional Period. Each New Member must also make a qualifying transaction, as defined in clause 6 below ("Qualifying Transaction") between 31 January 2020, 0000hrs (GMT+8) and 31 May 2020, 2359 hrs (GMT+8) ("Qualifying Transaction Period").
- In order for the Referrer to receive 500 bonus KrisFlyer miles, the following conditions must be met:
- New Members must successfully sign up as new KrisFlyer members, enter the Referrer’s KrisFlyer membership number into the "Referred to KrisFlyer by a friend?" field; and enter "KFBD21" in the "KrisFlyer registration promotion" field in the KrisFlyer enrolment form on singaporeair.com within the Promotional Period.
- Upon successful enrolment, the New Member will receive a welcome email from KrisFlyer, containing his/her new KrisFlyer membership number.
- The New Member must then make a Qualifying Transaction under his/her new KrisFlyer membership number within the Qualifying Transaction Period.
Each Referrer may earn a maximum of 10,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles from such referrals. - In order for the New Member to receive 500 bonus KrisFlyer miles, the New Member must successfully sign up as a new KrisFlyer member, and enter "KFBD21" in the "KrisFlyer Registration Promotion" field in the KrisFlyer enrolment form on singaporeair.com within the Promotional Period.
- A Qualifying Transaction shall refer to any of the following transactions:
- Miles accrued or redeemed on flown flights on Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Scoot
- Miles accrual from partners
- Transfer of points from partner programmes to KrisFlyer
- Submission of retrospective mileage claims for flown flights
- KrisShop accrual transactions
- KrisPay accrual transactions and miles conversions
- The top three (3) Referrers (the "Winners") as selected by SIA at the end of the Qualifying Transaction Period may each be awarded with an additional prize of 21,000 KrisFlyer miles ("the Prize").
- The name of the Winner will be posted on the Singapore Airlines website (https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/sg/home) and SIA Facebook page ((https://www.facebook.com/singaporeair/) on or after 30 June 2020, where legally permitted.
- The Winners will be notified within thirty (30) working days from the end of the Qualifying Transaction Period. The Winners shall be contacted through the e-mail listed in their KrisFlyer membership profile.
- Each Winner is required to return a signed letter of acceptance via email to SIA in accordance with the instructions provided by SIA via email within ten (10) working days. If unclaimed within ten (10) days from the date in which the notification was sent, the Prize will be forfeited.
- All decisions made by SIA, in respect to any matter relating to this Promotion, including the choice of the Winners, shall be final. SIA reserves the right to vary these terms and conditions, terminate or otherwise amend this Promotion without prior notice at its sole and absolute discretion. SIA reserves the right to verify the eligibility of participants. The demise of a participant automatically disqualifies his/her entry.
- Any KrisFlyer miles acquired in accordance with this Promotion will be valid for three (3) years from the date on which it is credited into the recipient’s KrisFlyer account and no extensions will be permitted. For the avoidance of doubt, the KrisFlyer miles awarded which has not been used by the end of such validity period will expire and shall be deemed null and void.
- The Prize cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash, and shall not be transferred to another individual. All KrisFlyer miles must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer program. Transfer of KrisFlyer miles from one member's account to another member's account is not permitted.
- The use of the KrisFlyer miles to redeem an air ticket will always be subject to seat availability at the time of reservation or ticket issuance and must be used in accordance with the terms and conditions of the KrisFlyer programme (at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/ppsclub_krisflyer/termsconditions-kf/").
- New Members may expect any KrisFlyer miles acquired in accordance with this Promotion to be credited into their KrisFlyer accounts 4 to 6 weeks after the end of the Promotional Period.
- Referrers may expect any KrisFlyer miles acquired in accordance with this Promotion to be credited into their KrisFlyer accounts 4 to 6 weeks after the end of the Qualifying Transaction Period.
- Referrers can refer an unlimited number of New Members, but are not permitted to refer themselves. Participants will not be deemed to have made a successful referral if the New Member is an existing KrisFlyer member.
- Individuals are only permitted to hold one KrisFlyer membership account. Any fraudulent or duplicate KrisFlyer accounts, including the original KrisFlyer account held by such individuals will be suspended and disqualified from the Promotion.
- By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees that any and all personal data he/she submits (including his/her name, KrisFlyer membership number, and email address) may be collected, used, disclosed, or otherwise processed (collectively, "Processed") by SIA for the purposes of the Promotion and the Prize, including to communicate with the Winners on the Prize. All collection, use and disclosure of participant’s personal data will be in accordance with SIA’s Privacy Policy (available online at https://www.singaporeair.com/en_UK/privacy-policy/).
- In respect of any referral submitted by the New Member, the Referrer warrants and confirms that the Referrer has given consent to the New Member(s) for his/her KrisFlyer membership number to be provided.
- Employees of SIA, SilkAir, Scoot, their immediate families, affiliates, subsidiaries, related agencies, principal sponsors and suppliers associated with this campaign are not eligible to participate in the Promotion. Corporations and other artificial persons are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.
- Participants are advised to obtain independent legal advice at their own expense before participating in the Promotion. SIA will not be responsible for any consequences that any participant may suffer (including without limitation any damage, loss, injury or disappointment), or that results in an infringement of any law or regulation, by participating in the Promotion or the participant’s acceptance of any prize.
- By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to comply with and be bound by these terms and conditions, Singapore Airlines, SilkAir and Scoot’s conditions of use of website, and conditions of carriage, SIA’s Privacy Policy and KrisFlyer Terms and Conditions and KrisShop Terms and Conditions (collectively, "SIA Terms & Conditions"). Non-compliance with or breach of any of these SIA Terms and Conditions may result in the participant being disqualified at any stage of the Promotion, and any prizes won may be forfeited, withheld, withdrawn or reclaimed.
