Travel Advisory

Last updated 20 September 2021, 1700hrs (GMT+8)

Entry requirements and border controls are in place around the world to contain the spread of the Covid-19 virus. If you plan to travel soon, please check the travel advisories for all destinations in your itinerary to ensure that you meet the latest requirements. While the information reflected here is updated regularly, entry requirements may change at short notice and customers are advised to check the latest travel advisory issued by the relevant local authorities before their trip. You will not be allowed to board the aircraft, and should delay your travel and seek medical attention if:

  • You have any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, anosmia or shortness of breath.
  • You have been diagnosed or suspected to have Covid-19 infection in the last 21 days.
  • You have had close contact with anyone with Covid-19 in the last 14 days.

Travellers entering or transiting through Singapore, including Singapore citizens and permanent residents, are required to take a pre-departure Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test within 48 hours before the scheduled departure date of their flight i.e. passengers departing on 3 September can take the test any time from 1 September onwards. For passengers entering Singapore via the Reciprocal Green Lane arrangements, the pre-departure test can be taken within 72 hours before the scheduled departure date of their flight.

Please note that self-administered PCR tests will not be accepted for entry or transit through Singapore.

The requirement for a pre-departure Covid-19 test does not apply to children aged 2 years and below (i.e. born in or after 2019), as well as travellers who have remained in the following places in the past 21 days: Hong Kong SAR, China; Macao SAR, China; Mainland China; and Taiwan, China.

Depending on where you are flying to, you may be required to take a pre-departure Covid-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test. The test must be taken at a recognised or accredited clinic, laboratory or medical facility. For a smoother check-in process, you should check if the clinic is able to provide a test certificate with a corresponding QR code. This QR code should link to your digital pre-departure test certificate.
