Singapore Airlines operates flights from two major gateways in Thailand: Bangkok (BKK) and Phuket (HKT). From both cities, you can fly to Singapore and connect smoothly to a wide range of destinations worldwide on our network.
From Thailand, Singapore Airlines offers nonstop services to Singapore, with onward one-stop connections to the rest of our network. From Bangkok (BKK), we operate direct flights to Singapore (SIN). All other destinations from Bangkok, such as Tokyo, Seoul, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong SAR, China, Jakarta, Sydney, London, New York, and others, are served via a stop in Singapore, and for Cape Town some itineraries include a further stop in Johannesburg. From Phuket (HKT), we also operate direct flights to Singapore (SIN). All other routes from Phuket, including cities in North Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, West Asia and Africa, the Americas, and Europe, are served with one stop in Singapore, and two stops for selected routes to Cape Town via Singapore and Johannesburg. There are currently no nonstop long-haul flights from Thailand to Europe, the Americas, or Africa on Singapore Airlines; these are offered as one-stop connections through our Singapore hub.
From Bangkok (BKK), Singapore Airlines operates multiple daily services to Singapore, with up to seven daily departures that connect to our global network. These frequent services make it easy to choose departure times that suit early-morning, daytime, or evening travel plans. From Phuket (HKT), we also offer a robust schedule to Singapore, with up to five daily flights, allowing convenient same-day connections to destinations across Asia, Australia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. Overall, many onward routes from Singapore operate several times a day, so you can often select from different connection options when flying from Thailand.
Many travellers from Thailand enjoy flying to Singapore (SIN), thanks to its short travel time and vibrant mix of city experiences and green spaces. In North Asia, Tokyo (TYO) and Seoul (SEL) are popular for their dynamic city life, shopping, dining, and seasonal scenery. Sydney (SYD) and Brisbane (BNE) attract those heading to Australia for coastal escapes, outdoor adventures, and family visits. London (LON) and Frankfurt (FRA) are key gateways for business and leisure travel into Europe, offering easy onward access around the region. For long-haul journeys to North America, Los Angeles (LAX), New York (NYC), and Seattle (SEA) are well-loved entry points to the United States, combining urban culture, business hubs, and natural attractions.
When you fly from Thailand with Singapore Airlines, you enjoy thoughtful service, comfortable cabins, and a reliable, well-timed network built around our Singapore hub. Your journey is designed to feel smooth and unhurried, from check-in through to arrival.

For a short break from Thailand, Singapore is an ideal choice, with flights from Bangkok and Phuket taking only a few hours; the relatively stable, warm climate makes it appealing year-round for city walks, dining, and shopping. Nearby in Southeast Asia, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Penang offer quick getaways with generally warm, humid weather, ideal during the drier months for exploring city skylines and heritage streets. Denpasar (Bali) in Indonesia is another popular short- to medium-haul option, especially during its drier season, for beaches, coastal sunsets, and lush inland landscapes. Within the region, Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in Vietnam can be reached in under a day of travel via Singapore and tend to be most pleasant in their cooler, less humid periods, offering a mix of historic architecture, cafés, and street life. These destinations have some of the shortest overall journey times in our network from Thailand, making them well-suited to long weekends or extended weekend trips.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access at select airports in Thailand for eligible customers. In Bangkok (BKK), eligible passengers can relax in the SilverKris Lounge before their flight, enjoying comfortable seating, refreshments, and spaces to work or rest. In Phuket (HKT), eligible customers can access The Coral Executive Lounge for a quiet environment, snacks, and beverages ahead of departure. Lounge eligibility is based on your class of travel or KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status. Day passes are also available for purchase.
For longer layovers at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join the airport's free transit tour programme, which usually requires at least around 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, subject to the latest terms. This gives you a curated glimpse of the city before returning comfortably to your onward gate.
If you prefer to stay airside or have a shorter connection, Changi Airport offers themed gardens, quiet rest areas, play zones, and a wide selection of shops and dining. Eligible customers can also relax in the SilverKris Lounge or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge before connecting onward. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.
During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible customers can access the SilverKris Lounge or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge. Lounge access depends on your cabin class and frequent flyer status.
Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.
Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.
The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport.
If your journey is booked as a single Singapore Airlines itinerary with a connection in Singapore, your checked baggage will normally be transferred automatically to your onward flight — you do not need to collect and recheck it. On arrival in Singapore, follow the signs for transit passengers and proceed to your departure gate, where Singapore Airlines and Changi Airport staff are available to assist. If you have a longer layover, you can explore the airside facilities or, for eligible passengers, access the SilverKris or KrisFlyer Gold Lounges before your next flight.
For flights departing Thailand with Singapore Airlines, we recommend arriving at the airport about 2 to 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. This allows enough time for check-in, baggage drop, security screening, and immigration, especially at busy airports such as Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK). Check-in counters usually close 40 minutes before departure, so arriving early helps ensure a stress-free start to your journey.
When departing from Thailand, you can check in online via singaporeair.com or the Singapore Airlines mobile app from up to 48 hours before your flight, with online check-in closing 1 hour before departure. At the airport, Singapore Airlines check-in counters are available at both Bangkok (BKK) and Phuket (HKT) for baggage drop and assistance. Where provided by the airport, self-service kiosks may also be available for printing boarding passes and baggage tags before you move to the bag drop counters.
Yes, you can earn KrisFlyer miles on all eligible Singapore Airlines-operated flights departing from Thailand. The number of miles you earn depends on your cabin class and fare type. Be sure to include your KrisFlyer membership number when booking or during check-in so that your miles are automatically credited after your journey.
