Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, you can enjoy a range of hot and cold beverages, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. A selection of alcoholic drinks is also available, and our signature Singapore Sling is served on board for you to enjoy as part of your journey.

For flights between Kochi and Surabaya, the weight concept applies for checked baggage. For Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg of checked baggage, while Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. Business Class includes 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg in weight.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. In addition, a small personal item such as a handbag or laptop bag is generally permitted. Your final baggage allowance is confirmed on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines flights from Kochi to Surabaya once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

With a layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy one of the most comfortable transit experiences in the world. For longer layovers, you may be able to join one of the official free transit tours into the city, which usually require at least about 5.5 to 6 hours between flights. These give you a chance to see key highlights before returning to the airport.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very relaxing, with themed gardens, quiet rest zones, children’s play areas, and, in some terminals, attractions such as slides, indoor greenery, and viewing decks. There are also many dining options, retail outlets, and airport hotels for a quick rest or shower. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

When departing from Kochi International Airport (COK), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to use the Earth Premium Lounge before their flight to Singapore. Lounge access depends on your cabin class, fare type, and frequent flyer status, and will be indicated on your boarding pass at check-in.

During your layover at Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may be able to access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status. Lounge access is based on your onward flight from Singapore and will be confirmed at check-in or at the lounge reception.

Kochi follows India Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Surabaya follows Western Indonesia Time, which is UTC+7:00 and also does not use daylight saving time. Surabaya is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Kochi throughout the year.

Surabaya Juanda International Airport is located to the south of the city and offers straightforward arrivals procedures, with clear signage in multiple languages. After landing, you will proceed through immigration and baggage reclaim before entering the arrivals hall, where you can find transport counters, information desks, and basic services such as cafés and mobile service providers.

We recommend arriving at Kochi International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure to Singapore, to allow enough time for check-in, security, and immigration. If you are travelling in a group, carrying special items, or travelling during peak holiday periods, arriving a little earlier can help your journey start smoothly.

Visa requirements depend on your nationality, purpose of visit, and length of stay in Indonesia. We recommend checking the latest entry regulations with the Indonesian embassy or consulate, or the official immigration website, before you travel. Ensure your passport has sufficient validity and any required documents are prepared in advance.

If your Kochi–Singapore and Singapore–Surabaya flights are booked on a single Singapore Airlines itinerary, we will normally check your bags through to Surabaya at Kochi. You will receive boarding passes for both sectors, and there is no need to collect your checked baggage in Singapore during your layover.
