Premium Economy Class includes 35kg, and Business Class includes 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Male to Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch pitch with up to 20 inches of width, and Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On the Singapore to Medan sector, operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class offers around 32-inch pitch and comfortable width, while Business Class features larger recliner seats with generous legroom.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Male but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may be invited to use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for comfortable transits of all lengths. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights, you may consider joining one of the official free transit tours, which take you into the city to see key sights before returning airside. For shorter layovers, you can enjoy indoor gardens, rest areas, children’s play zones, and a wide choice of dining and retail.

If you prefer to freshen up, look for airport hotels or pay-per-use facilities offering showers and quiet spaces. The terminals are well connected by walkways and the Skytrain, with clear signage and regular information screens to make moving between gates easy.
