For flights between Cape Town and Surabaya, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class customers have 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class customers have 35kg, and Business Class customers have 40kg, with each checked bag not exceeding 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Cape Town to Surabaya once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Cape Town–Johannesburg and Johannesburg–Singapore, and Singapore–Surabaya) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Johannesburg and Singapore must each be less than 24 hours. If any layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Surabaya is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
