For flights between Manchester and Medan, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class guests may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class guests may check 35kg, and Business Class guests may check 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available once the aircraft on the Manchester–Singapore and Singapore–Medan sectors is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The Next Segment Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Manchester but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible customers may be invited to use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can consider joining one of the official free transit tours into the city, which typically require a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours. These tours give you a snapshot of Singapores skyline, waterfront, or cultural districts without needing to plan your own route.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very comfortable. Changi Airport offers themed gardens, quiet rest areas, shower facilities, playgrounds, and a wide choice of dining and shopping. Some terminals also feature attractions such as art installations and viewing galleries where you can watch aircraft movements.

If you prefer to rest, you can look for airport hotels or nap facilities that allow you to relax between flights. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.
