For flights between Rome and Christchurch, our baggage policy follows the weight concept. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi fares: 30kg), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class customers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Rome to Christchurch once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should ensure their membership number is added to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Rome–Singapore and Singapore–Christchurch sectors operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width. Premium Economy Class provides around 38 inches of pitch and up to 20 inches of width, with a more spacious seat and extra recline.

Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access from every seat on each sector, giving you more room to stretch out and rest on the long journey.

At Rome Fiumicino (FCO), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be able to use partner facilities such as the Plaza Premium Lounge before the Rome–Singapore sector. Lounge access depends on your cabin class, KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status, and the conditions of your ticket, which are detailed at the time of booking.

For most Rome to Christchurch itineraries on a single Singapore Airlines ticket, we check your baggage through from Rome to Christchurch, including the layover in Singapore. You usually do not need to collect your checked baggage at Singapore Changi Airport, unless advised otherwise at check-in.

Rome follows Central European Time (UTC+1) in winter and Central European Summer Time (UTC+2) from roughly late March to late October. Christchurch observes New Zealand Standard Time (UTC+12) and New Zealand Daylight Time (UTC+13) in a similar period. Depending on the month, Christchurch is usually 10 to 12 hours ahead of Rome.
