For flights between Riyadh and Shenzhen, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Riyadh to Shenzhen once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, with Economy Class members required to add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Airbus A350-900 between Riyadh and Singapore and the Boeing 737-8 MAX between Singapore and Shenzhen, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width for comfortable legroom and support. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access on the Airbus A350-900 and spacious recliner or lie-flat style seating with generous personal space on the Boeing 737-8 MAX.

Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible passengers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Riyadh but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover, from themed gardens and art installations to rest areas and transit hotels. For longer connections of at least 5.5 hours, you can consider joining an official city tour, subject to eligibility and timing.

For shorter layovers, you may prefer to stay airside and enjoy the airport’s amenities, such as relaxation zones, children’s play areas, and a broad selection of dining and shopping. Shower facilities and quiet corners make it easy to refresh before your onward flight to Shenzhen.

Riyadh follows Arabia Standard Time (UTC+3) and does not observe daylight saving time. Shenzhen follows China Standard Time (UTC+8), also without daylight saving time. Shenzhen is therefore 5 hours ahead of Riyadh throughout the year; for example, when it is 10.00am in Riyadh, it is 15.00 in Shenzhen.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Riyadh–Singapore and Singapore–Shenzhen) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Shenzhen is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
