For this route, our weight-concept policy applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class includes 35kg of checked baggage, Business Class 40kg, and First Class 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class and First Class may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on eligible aircraft once we are above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free, unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service supports messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Hong Kong–Singapore sector, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, and Premium Economy Class seats offer a 38-inch pitch with up to 20-inch seat width where available. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access, and First Class on selected Boeing 777-300ER services also offers a fully flat bed. On the Singapore–Kochi sector, Economy Class features a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class offers a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Hong Kong but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may use The Private Room, SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed for comfortable transits and offers extensive facilities airside. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours of layover time, you can consider joining the airport's free city tour, subject to eligibility and operating hours. For shorter layovers, you can enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, children’s play zones, and entertainment facilities within the terminals. Airport transit hotels and nap areas are available if you prefer to rest between flights. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Hong Kong follows Hong Kong Time (HKT), which is UTC+8 and does not observe daylight saving time. Kochi follows Indian Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Kochi is therefore 2.5 hours behind Hong Kong throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Hong Kong–Singapore and Singapore–Kochi) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Kochi is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
