For Kathmandu–San Francisco journeys, the piece concept applies as the route includes the United States of America. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (2 pieces, each up to 23kg), Premium Economy Class (2 pieces, each up to 23kg), and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 32kg). Each individual checked piece must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece, up to 7kg), and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Kathmandu to San Francisco once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase paid plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kathmandu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers may use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their eligibility.

Singapore Changi Airport is well known for its transit experience, and if you have a longer layover, you may be able to join an official city tour, which typically requires a minimum of around 5.5 to 6 hours of transit time. For shorter layovers, you can enjoy airside attractions such as indoor gardens, rest areas, and family-friendly spaces, or simply relax at one of the many dining and shopping outlets in the terminals. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

San Francisco follows Pacific Time, which is UTC−8 in winter (approximately November to March) and UTC−7 in summer (approximately March to November). Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Kathmandu–Singapore and Singapore–San Francisco) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to San Francisco is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
