For flights between Phuket and Penang, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, checked baggage allowances are 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers enjoy 40kg of checked baggage. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final baggage allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Phuket to Penang once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members should ensure their membership number is added to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Phuket–Singapore and Singapore–Penang sectors operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class seats offer a pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, providing a comfortable amount of legroom for the journey. Business Class features seats that convert to a fully flat bed, with every seat offering direct aisle access where fitted on this aircraft configuration.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Phuket but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport is designed to make layovers enjoyable, with themed gardens, play areas, rest zones, and a wide range of dining and shopping options inside the terminals. If your layover is at least 5.5 hours and you meet the requirements, you may join an official transit tour to see highlights of Singapore.

For shorter connections, you can stay airside, explore the terminal, or relax at one of the quiet zones or rest areas between flights. If you prefer extra comfort, you may consider an airport hotel within or near the terminal buildings.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Phuket–Singapore and Singapore–Penang) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Penang is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
