For flights between Colombo and Surabaya, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are 25kg on Economy Class Lite and Value fares, 30kg on Economy Class Standard and Flexi fares, 40kg in Business Class. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are 1 piece up to 7kg in Economy Class and 2 pieces, each up to 7kg, in Business Class. The final allowance for your journey is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Colombo to Singapore and Singapore to Surabaya sectors, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on these aircraft types.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore (SIN), eligible customers may be invited to relax in the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin and status.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join an official transit tour into the city, usually available for layovers of around 5.5 hours or more, subject to timing and eligibility. For shorter connections, stay airside and explore gardens, rest areas, and family zones across the terminals. There are also shower facilities, quiet corners, and a wide choice of dining and shopping to help you feel refreshed before your onward flight. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it's an integral part of your journey.

Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time, which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Surabaya follows Western Indonesia Time, which is UTC+7:00 and also does not change throughout the year. Surabaya is therefore 1 hour 30 minutes ahead of Colombo at all times.
