For flights between Kolkata and Shenzhen, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (Lite and Value fares: 25kg; Standard and Flexi: 30kg) and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg) and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). The final allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members, with Economy Class and Business Class customers asked to add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Kolkata to Singapore Airbus A350-900 sector and the Singapore to Shenzhen Boeing 737-8 MAX sector, Economy Class offers a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width. Business Class provides a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access on these services.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kolkata but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. Eligible customers may use the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities, from indoor gardens and themed zones to rest areas and play spaces, making even short layovers comfortable. For longer transits of about 5.5 hours or more, you can consider joining one of the airport’s free transit tours into the city, subject to eligibility and schedule.

If you prefer to stay airside, you can enjoy walking trails through landscaped gardens, quiet seating zones, and family-friendly attractions. Showers and airport hotels are also available within the terminals for extra rest between flights.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Kolkata–Singapore and Singapore–Shenzhen) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Shenzhen is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
