A selection of hot and cold beverages is available throughout the flight, including juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, so you can enjoy a classic taste of Singapore during your journey.

For flights between Chengdu and Shenzhen, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class guests may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class guests may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. The final allowance for your trip will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights between Chengdu and Shenzhen once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free and unlimited Wi-Fi, and Economy Class and Business Class passengers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure to benefit from this.

If you are not a KrisFlyer member, you can choose from paid Wi-Fi plans. The connection is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Chengdu–Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 787-10, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access for every seat.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

At Singapore Changi Airport, eligible passengers may be invited to relax in facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Chengdu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities that make layovers comfortable and engaging. For transit times of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you may be able to join one of the airport’s official free city tours, allowing you to experience highlights of Singapore before returning for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, you can stay airside and enjoy themed gardens, relaxation zones, and quiet areas, as well as showers and transit hotels in selected terminals. Some terminals also offer entertainment zones and family-friendly play areas to help time pass pleasantly.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Shenzhen airport when flying from Chengdu via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Chengdu–Singapore and Singapore–Shenzhen) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Shenzhen is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
