For flights between Chongqing and Colombo, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are as follows: Economy Class passengers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers may check up to 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring one piece up to 7kg. Business Class passengers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance applicable to your journey will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans.

On the Chongqing to Singapore sector operated by the Boeing 737-8 MAX, Economy Class seats offer around 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, while Business Class provides a larger seat that converts into a reclined position with generous personal space.

On the Singapore to Colombo sector operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class also offers around 32-inch pitch and up to 19-inch seat width, designed for good legroom on the regional flight. Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

When departing from Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport (CKG), eligible Singapore Airlines passengers may relax in the International First and Business Class Lounge before their flight to Singapore. Access depends on your cabin class or frequent flyer status, as indicated on your boarding pass.

Chongqing follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo follows Sri Lanka Standard Time (UTC+5:30) and also does not observe daylight saving time. Colombo is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes behind Chongqing throughout the year.

Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) is located north of central Colombo and has clear arrival signage in English and other languages. After landing, you will proceed through immigration, baggage reclaim, and customs, where airport staff are available to assist with directions to transport, information desks, and onward connections.

We recommend arriving at Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time for flights to Colombo via Singapore. This allows enough time for check-in, security screening, and immigration, as well as a relaxed visit to the departure lounge or boarding gate.
