For flights between Kochi and Guangzhou, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage: in Economy Class, Lite and Value fares include 25kg, and Standard and Flexi fares include 30kg. In Business Class, the allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage: Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on Singapore Airlines services between Kochi and Guangzhou. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Kochi but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only. In Singapore, eligible customers may be invited to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on their cabin and status.

Singapore Changi Airport offers extensive facilities for layovers on the Kochi–Guangzhou route. With enough time between flights, you can consider a city tour organised from the airport, usually recommended for layovers of around 5.5 hours or longer, subject to eligibility and local arrangements. For shorter connections, stay airside to enjoy themed gardens, rest areas, play zones, and quiet seating.

If you have a longer layover, you can explore attractions within the airport precinct, including walking trails, viewing galleries, and a range of dining and retail options. Airport transit hotels and rest areas are available if you wish to sleep or freshen up without leaving the terminal.

Kochi follows India Standard Time (IST), which is UTC+5:30 and does not observe daylight saving time. Guangzhou follows China Standard Time (CST), which is UTC+8:00 and also does not observe daylight saving time. Guangzhou is therefore 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Kochi throughout the year.
