For flights between Tokyo and Male, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class 25kg for Lite and Value fares, and 30kg for Standard and Flexi fares; Premium Economy Class 35kg; Business Class 40kg; First Class 50kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while First Class and Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on most Singapore Airlines aircraft operating between Tokyo, Singapore, and Male once we are above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure.

Non-members can purchase Wi-Fi plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Tokyo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join one of the official free transit tours into the city, which usually require a minimum layover of around 5.5 to 6 hours. These tours offer a relaxed overview of Singapore before you return for your onward flight.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is very comfortable, with themed gardens, rest areas, a swimming pool, and entertainment zones across the terminals. You can also enjoy a wide choice of dining options or freshen up with shower facilities and quiet spaces.
