For flights between Chengdu and Busan, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class passengers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Business Class passengers may check 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights on this route once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On both the Chengdu–Singapore and Singapore–Busan sectors, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable legroom for regional and medium-haul flights. Business Class features a fully flat bed with generous space and every seat having direct aisle access, allowing you to rest and arrive refreshed.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available. Eligible customers may be able to use facilities such as the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge at Singapore Changi Airport.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Chengdu but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

If you have a longer layover at Singapore Changi Airport, you can join one of the official free city tours, which usually require at least a 5.5 to 6-hour transit, subject to the current programme and immigration requirements. For shorter connections, stay airside and enjoy gardens, rest zones, entertainment areas, and quiet seating across the terminals.

Changi Airport also offers family-friendly play areas, walking routes between themed spaces, and a wide variety of dining options, so you can stretch your legs and relax between flights. Airport hotels and pay-per-use lounges provide additional comfort if you prefer more privacy during a longer connection.

Chengdu follows China Standard Time (UTC+8) and does not observe daylight saving time. Busan follows Korea Standard Time (UTC+9), also without daylight saving time. This means Busan is 1 hour ahead of Chengdu throughout the year.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Chengdu–Singapore and Singapore–Busan) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Busan is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.

You may be able to plan a stopover in Singapore on your Chengdu–Busan trip, subject to your ticket conditions and availability.
