Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft is above 10,000 feet. Wi-Fi is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class members must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Paid plans are available for non-members.

The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing. It does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers, so we recommend planning any high-bandwidth activities for when you are on the ground.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of ways to spend your layover, from themed gardens and art installations to quiet rest areas and transit hotels. You can enjoy walking trails, playgrounds, and numerous dining and shopping outlets without leaving the terminal.

For longer layovers, you may consider joining the airport's official transit tour, which requires a minimum connection time as specified by the programme. This allows you to see selected highlights of Singapore before returning airside. Your time at Singapore Changi Airport is more than just a wait — it is an integral part of your journey.

In Da Nang (DAD), eligible Singapore Airlines customers may be invited to use the Orchid Lounge before departure. During your layover at Singapore (SIN), eligible passengers can access the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, depending on cabin class and frequent flyer status.

Da Nang follows Indochina Time (UTC+7) and does not observe daylight saving time. Penang follows Malaysia Time (UTC+8), also without daylight saving. This means Penang is 1 hour ahead of Da Nang throughout the year, so when it is 12.00pm in Da Nang, it is 1.00pm in Penang.

We recommend arriving at Da Nang International Airport at least 2 to 3 hours before your scheduled departure, as your journey includes international travel and a connection in Singapore. This allows enough time for check-in, security, and immigration, and helps your bags be through-checked to Penang.
