Beverage Service
Throughout the journey, a selection of hot and cold drinks is available, including juices, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and a range of alcoholic beverages. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board.

For Taipei–Christchurch flights, the weight concept applies. Checked baggage allowances are: Economy Class (25kg on Lite/Value fares, 30kg on Standard/Flexi fares), Premium Economy Class (35kg), and Business Class (40kg). Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. Cabin baggage allowances are: Economy Class and Premium Economy Class (1 piece up to 7kg), and Business Class (2 pieces, each up to 7kg). Your final allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Taipei–Singapore sector, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, while Business Class provides a fully flat bed with direct aisle access. On the Singapore–Christchurch sector, Economy Class has similar legroom, Premium Economy Class offers a 38-inch pitch with up to 20 inches of seat width, and Business Class also features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Lounge options at Singapore Changi Airport include the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), and KrisFlyer Gold Lounge. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Taipei but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers a wide range of facilities that make layovers comfortable and enjoyable. For longer layovers of at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you can join an official transit tour into the city, which lets you see key sights before returning for your onward flight. For shorter connections, stay airside to enjoy themed gardens, rest zones, entertainment areas, and airport hotels or snooze lounges.

Taipei follows Taiwan Standard Time (UTC+8) all year. Christchurch uses New Zealand Standard Time (UTC+12) roughly from April to September, and New Zealand Daylight Time (UTC+13) roughly from late September to early April. This means Christchurch is typically 4 or 5 hours ahead of Taipei, depending on the time of year.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Christchurch Airport when flying from Taipei via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Taipei–Singapore and Singapore–Christchurch) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Christchurch is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
