Beverage Service
Throughout the flight, you can enjoy a selection of hot and cold drinks, including juices, soft drinks, teas, and coffees. Our signature Singapore Sling is also available on board, adding a distinctive touch to your journey.

For flights between Tokyo and Bengaluru, our weight-concept baggage policy applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class offers 35kg, Business Class 40kg, and First Class 50kg of checked baggage, with each item not exceeding 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers may bring one piece up to 7kg. Business Class and First Class customers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your journey will be shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines flights from Tokyo to Bengaluru once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. It is free and unlimited for KrisFlyer members; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans. The service is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

Across both sectors from Tokyo to Bengaluru, Economy Class seats offer a 32-inch pitch with up to 19-inch seat width, providing comfortable space for most travellers. Premium Economy Class, where available, offers a 38-inch pitch and up to 20-inch seat width for extra room and recline.

In Business Class on all operating aircraft, you can enjoy a fully flat bed with generous personal space and direct aisle access from every seat. On selected Boeing 777-300ER services between Tokyo and Singapore, First Class offers an even more spacious fully flat bed and enhanced privacy for a more exclusive experience.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

Lounge Access Eligibility
Cabin Class: Complimentary for Suites, First, and Business Class passengers. Premium Economy and Economy travellers do not have access unless they hold eligible status.

Frequent Flyer Status: PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold (or Star Alliance Gold) members have access regardless of cabin class.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Tokyo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

At Singapore Changi Airport, you can enjoy themed gardens, quiet rest areas, and a wide range of dining and shopping options during your layover. If you have at least 5.5 to 6 hours between flights and meet the requirements, you may be able to join a free transit tour of the city, organised from within the terminal.

Shorter layovers are best spent exploring the airport’s terminals, where you can find relaxation zones, play areas, and, in some terminals, attractions such as indoor gardens and viewing decks. Airport hotels and pay-per-use lounges offer additional comfort if you would like to rest or freshen up.

Tokyo follows Japan Standard Time (UTC+9) throughout the year and does not observe daylight saving time. Bengaluru follows India Standard Time (UTC+5:30), also without daylight saving. This means Tokyo is always 3 hours 30 minutes ahead of Bengaluru, regardless of the month you travel.

Yes, your baggage will typically be checked through to Bengaluru when flying from Tokyo via Singapore on a single booking with Singapore Airlines.

Through-Check Conditions
For your bags to be sent directly to your final destination, the following general conditions must be met:

Single Itinerary: Both flight segments (Tokyo–Singapore and Singapore–Bengaluru) must be under the same booking reference or PNR.

Layover Duration: Your connection in Singapore must be less than 24 hours. If your layover exceeds 24 hours, it is considered a stopover, and you will typically be required to collect your luggage and re-check it for your onward flight.

Partner Airlines: If your onward flight from Singapore to Bengaluru is operated by a partner airline, Singapore Airlines has through-check agreements that usually allow your bags to be tagged to your final destination.
