In the cooler and drier months from December to March (shoulder season), northern areas can range from about 15–22°C (59–72°F), while the south remains warmer and comfortable for city visits and beach stays. This period suits sightseeing with generally lower humidity.
From April to August (peak season), much of Vietnam becomes warmer, with temperatures often around 28–34°C (82–93°F), especially in central and southern regions. This is a popular time for beach holidays and island escapes, though mid-day heat can be strong.
Between September and November (low season), temperatures tend to sit around 24–30°C (75–86°F) in many areas, with more varied weather patterns that can include showers. It can be a quieter time to travel, with softer light and fewer crowds in some destinations.
