Book the Cook
Eligible customers in premium cabins on the Istanbul–Singapore sector can pre-select from an extended Book the Cook menu, featuring additional main course choices prepared specially for your flight. This service allows you to personalise your dining experience before you board.

Beverage Service
A range of hot and cold beverages, including fruit juices, soft drinks, tea, and coffee, is available throughout the flight. You can also enjoy our signature Singapore Sling on board, along with a curated selection of alcoholic beverages for those who wish to indulge responsibly.

For flights between Istanbul and Colombo, the weight concept applies. For checked baggage, Economy Class passengers may check 25kg on Lite and Value fares, or 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. Premium Economy Class passengers have an allowance of 35kg, and Business Class passengers have an allowance of 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg. For cabin baggage, Economy Class and Premium Economy Class passengers may bring 1 piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring 2 pieces, each up to 7kg. Your exact allowance is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on the Airbus A350-900 once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet on both sectors between Istanbul, Singapore, and Colombo. KrisFlyer members enjoy free, unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class customers must add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board. The service is ideal for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers.

On the Istanbul–Singapore sector, operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class offers a seat pitch of about 32 inches with up to 19 inches of seat width, Premium Economy Class provides a pitch of about 38 inches with up to 20 inches of seat width, and Business Class features a fully flat bed with direct aisle access from every seat.

On the Singapore–Colombo sector, also operated by the Airbus A350-900, Economy Class seats provide a pitch of around 32 inches with up to 19 inches of width, while Business Class offers a fully flat bed and direct aisle access, giving you space to rest on the shorter onward flight.

Yes, Singapore Airlines provides lounge access to eligible passengers with a layover in Singapore. Your eligibility is based on your class of travel or your KrisFlyer and Star Alliance status, and it is determined by your flight leaving Singapore. Other options, like purchasing a day pass at a pay-per-use lounge, are also available.

If your layover at Singapore Changi Airport is at least 5.5 to 6 hours, you can consider joining an official transit city tour to see key sights without worrying about logistics. For shorter connections, stay airside and enjoy the airport's themed gardens, rest zones, and family-friendly play areas.

When departing from Istanbul Airport for Colombo via Singapore, eligible Singapore Airlines customers may use partner lounges such as Turkish Airlines Lounge Business Class or Turkish Airlines Lounge Miles&Smiles, depending on cabin class or frequent flyer status. Access is determined by your departure flight from Istanbul and your eligibility at check-in.

During your transit at Singapore Changi Airport on the way to Colombo, eligible passengers may have access to the SilverKris Lounge (First Class), SilverKris Lounge (Business Class), or the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge. Lounge access depends on your class of travel and your KrisFlyer or Star Alliance status for the onward flight.

Istanbul operates on Turkey Time (UTC+3) all year. Colombo uses Sri Lanka Time (UTC+5:30) year-round. This means Colombo is 2 hours 30 minutes ahead of Istanbul throughout the year, so when it is 12.00pm in Istanbul, it is 14.30pm in Colombo.

For Singapore Airlines flights from Istanbul to Colombo via Singapore, we recommend arriving at Istanbul Airport at least 3 hours before your scheduled departure time. This allows enough time for check-in, security, and passport control, especially during busy travel periods.
