As a KrisFlyer member, you earn Elite miles when you fly or spend with the Singapore Airlines Group. Accumulate enough Elite miles and you automatically qualify for our higher KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Elite Gold membership tiers.

Get to Elite Silver
All it takes to qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Silver is 25,000 Elite miles earned within 12 consecutive months. Your membership will last for 12 months.*
If you earn at least 25,000 Elite miles again during your membership period, you will requalify for Elite Silver for another year.
*It takes up to one day for your membership to be upgraded. Elite miles earned before this upgrade will not count towards the next membership renewal.

Reach KrisFlyer Elite Gold by earning 50,000 Elite miles within 12 consecutive months. Your membership will last for 12 months.*
Earn at least 50,000 Elite miles again during your membership period and you will requalify for Elite Gold for another year.

Earn when you fly
Earn Elite miles when you fly with Singapore Airlines, Scoot, and other selected airlines.
Earn on the ground
Even when you are not flying, you can earn 1 Elite mile for every SGD 1 spent with Kris+, KrisShop, and Pelago.
Earning Elite miles both on in the air and on the ground helps you move towards qualifying or requalifying for KrisFlyer Elite Silver or Elite Gold status.

How Elite miles are calculated when you fly
Elite miles are derived from the actual miles flown, plus any applicable booking class bonuses earned on tickets that are eligible to earn miles. The number of Elite miles you earn on Singapore Airlines depends on the booking class you fly:

You earn 2.5 Elite miles for every KrisFlyer mile earned when you fly on Scoot. You can also earn Elite miles with Star Alliance airlines, Juneyao Air – our Star Alliance Connecting Partner, and other selected airline partners.*
For bookings that mix miles and cash, the amount of Elite miles earned is calculated based on the amount paid in cash (excluding taxes). Elite miles are not earned for fares paid in full with KrisFlyer miles. Learn more in our FAQs.
Tier bonuses and promotional bonuses do not count as Elite miles. Elite miles will not be earned if you do not credit your miles to a KrisFlyer account or if the flight is on a non-mileage accruable fare.
Elite miles also cannot be used for award flights, upgrade awards, or purchase of airfares.

Qualification and requalification for KrisFlyer Elite Silver and Elite Gold
Elite miles earned through non-flight spends can count towards up to 20% of the total amount of Elite miles required to qualify or requalify for KrisFlyer Elite Silver or Elite Gold status. This means when qualifying or requalifying, you may use up to 5,000 miles earned on the ground for Elite Silver, and 10,000 miles earned on the ground for Elite Gold.
Example 1:
KrisFlyer member A is looking to qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Silver membership. He has 18,000 Elite miles earned by flying and 6,000 Elite miles earned on the ground, both earned within 12 consecutive months. Only 5,000 non-flight Elite miles will count towards qualification, as 5,000 is the maximum amount of non-flight Elite miles allowed to be used for qualification.
As KrisFlyer member A has a shortfall of 2,000 flight Elite miles, he does not meet the requirement of 25,000 Elite miles earned within 12 consecutive months and will not qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Silver membership.
Example 2:
KrisFlyer member B is looking to qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Gold membership. He has 45,000 Elite miles earned by flying and 9,000 Elite miles earned on the ground, both earned within 12 consecutive months. All 9,000 non-flight Elite miles will count towards qualification as that falls within the maximum amount of non-flight Elite miles allowed to be used for qualification.
KrisFlyer member B meets the requirement of 50,000 Elite miles earned within 12 consecutive months and will qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Gold membership.
