For flights between Colombo and Penang, the weight concept applies. In Economy Class, the checked baggage allowance is 25kg on Lite and Value fares, and 30kg on Standard and Flexi fares. In Business Class, the checked baggage allowance is 40kg. Each checked bag must not exceed 32kg.

For cabin baggage, Economy Class passengers may bring one piece up to 7kg, while Business Class passengers may bring two pieces, each up to 7kg. The final baggage allowance for your trip is shown on your e-ticket, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS Club members enjoy additional allowances.

Wi-Fi is available on Singapore Airlines services once the aircraft is above 10,000 feet. KrisFlyer members enjoy free and unlimited Wi-Fi; Economy Class and Premium Economy Class members should add their membership number to the booking at least 1.5 hours before departure. Non-members can purchase access plans on board.

The connection is suitable for messaging, email, and basic browsing, but it does not support video streaming, video calls, or large file transfers. Coverage and speed may vary slightly between the Airbus A350-900, Boeing 787-10, and Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft used on this route.

The 'Next Segment' Rule: Eligibility is based on the flight immediately departing that airport. For example, if you fly Economy from Colombo but have a Business Class onward flight from Singapore, you get lounge access in Singapore only.

Singapore Changi Airport offers an official transit tour of the city for eligible passengers with a longer connection; you typically need at least 5.5 to 6 hours of layover time to join, subject to the programme's conditions. This is an easy way to see key sights before returning to the airport.

For shorter layovers, staying airside is comfortable and convenient. Changi Airport features themed gardens, quiet rest areas, children’s play zones, and a wide range of dining and shopping options. In certain terminals, you can also find facilities such as nap zones or a swimming pool for a refreshing break.
